Nigeria is gradually gaining recognition in the bodybuilding games not only in Africa but globally and has produced various bodybuilders who have won medals not only for themselves but as well as for the country at large, some of these great achievers include but is not limited to;
John Henry
He is from Rivers State Nigeria and is one of Nigeria’s bodybuilders who has made the country bodybuilding sports proud. He won the 2017 edition Championship of the BDBK German National Bodybuilding competition.
Ifesinachi Ibenne
A Nigerian professional bodybuilder and a fitness model from Iswuikwato Local Government of Abia State in Nigeria but resides in Port Harcourt, Rivers state of Nigeria. He is the current champion of 2015/2016 Mr. Flex Nigeria Bodybuilding Championship/Contest.
He discovered his career at the early stage when he was 4-5years. The inspiration was gathered when he started watching some foreign movies that depict characters with athletic look and physic. Following his ambitions in bodybuilding, he has already stepped into his main objective as a national champion of Mr Flex Bodybuilding Contest.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's was the person he chose as his role model after watching series of movies which included Conan - The Barbarian, Terminator and Predator. Ifesinachi has participated in several international bodybuilding competitions such as The Rosie Classic in South Africa, NABA international in Holland, Muscle Beach International Classic in Los Angeles, California, United States of America.
